Competence at Graduation: Implications for Assessment

Assessment of clinical competence is an integral component of veterinary medical and medical programs. Assessing competence is not straightforward, however, and there have been many studies in the medical education literature on the subject. This article seeks to review developments and current thinking in this important area.
